The IFMCGM Standard Guidelines for Explosion Prevention and Protection Design of Combustible Dust Collection Systems (Code: T/IPF 500-2024) has been published in April 19, 2024.
Its first Chinese-English bilingual edition has been released and can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this article.
The standard specifies the basic requirements for explosion prevention and protection of design of dust collection systems,
The standardis applicable to:
a) dust collection systems used to collect fugitive dust of dust generation points, or those used to keep slight negative pressure of closed dust generation devices in order to prevent dust emission;
b) dust collection systems used to separate dust from air in powder producing and processing;
c) pneumatic conveying systems;
d) central vacuum cleaning systems.
The standard is not applicable to mobile vacuum cleaner used to clean deposited dust.
The standard is not applicable to explosives, fireworks and firecrackers, pyrophoric substances and other dusts that can ignite or explode without combustion-supporting gases.
