Organized by Northeastern University and fully led by the team of Academician Lixin Tang, Chairman of the International Federation for Powder Detection and Control, IEEE CASE 2026 ranks among the three flagship conferences of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS), and serves as the exclusive flagship academic conference worldwide for automation and intelligent manufacturing. The conference will be held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province from August 17 to 21, 2026, marking its return to Chinese mainland after a 12-year interval. Centered on the theme of Smart Industry, this grand event gathers top scholars and industrial elites across the globe to discuss cutting-edge automation technologies.

Launched in 2005, IEEE CASE is held annually and is affiliated with the top journal of the field, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE). Focusing on frontier research directions of smart industry, the conference covers intelligent industrial detection, system optimization, intelligent manufacturing, sensors and automated equipment, and other relevant topics. Its research scope closely aligns with powder detection and process control, making it a high-quality international platform for scholars and engineers in the global powder industry to exchange state-of-the-art technologies and connect industry, academia and research institutions.
